Something different! Although I am certainly no expert in doing pet portraits I could not resist painting this little fellow.

It is a commission and I hope the client likes it. 

The Wave

Finished the third part. This is how it looks putting all three paintings next to each other. Due to the size of it  the paintings will have to be framed separately. I am curious how it will look framed.

Das Motiv habe ich schon lange mit mir "rumgetragen". Ich bin froh, dass ich es endlich gewagt habe.

Das Ergebnis von gestern morgen. Eigentlich ist bei der Komposition so ziemlich alles "falsch", was man so machen kann. Mir hat es trotzdem Spaß gemacht.

Ich freue mich, in die Pastel Society of America aufgenommen worden zu sein (juried associate member). Das ist für mich ein großer Schritt, auf den ich sehr stolz bin. Immerhin habe ich monatelang gezögert mich zu bewerben. Toll das es geklappt hat!

My latest commission. It is very similar to a painting I did a couple of months ago. The client is the owner of the boat with the bright sails and he wanted me to paint his boat in front of Dießen Monastery.

Snow Study

Nach einer sehr intensiven Auftragsarbeit, habe ich heute diese kleine Studie angefertigt. Leider ist der Schnee hier schon wieder weg.

After some pretty intense work on a commission (can't show it to you, the client hasn't accepted it yet) I played around with some color and did this little study.
